SABBBC Booster Club Meeting

 January 6, 2010

Meeting was led by Krystal McGinnis, President immediately following the team dinner.  Krystal thanked John Lorec and those who assisted him for organizing the dinner.

Officers:  We are in need of additional officers for the Booster Club.  Bejean Page volunteered to be a member.  After the meeting Matt Evans came forward as a volunteer.  (Since the meeting we have two more volunteers – Martha Enslow and Gabby Lujan.

Charlene McLean gave a Treasurer’s Report.  We have several outstanding bills.  Charlene is stepping down as Treasurer. 

Fundraising:  Boys are encouraged to get their fundraising in. 

South Invitation Tournament:  Runs January 15, 16 & 17.  Teams will be Lathrop, ACS, Eagle River, and South.  A signup sheet was passed around.  The following volunteered to steer committees.

Tourny awards/refs/score table/announcer:  Coach Blewett & Patrick Henry

Gear:  Jenny Morgan

Hospitality:  Charlene McLean

Gate:  Peggy Cossaboom

ROTC:  Martha Enslow

Halftime entertainment:  Friday night scrimmage by YMCA comp team.  Still looking for Thursday and Saturday night.

Charlene McLean announced we wouldn’t be able to use the school camera for videotaping the games.  She suggested we purchase a camera.  The coaches will find out what kind will work best and the cost.

Concessions:  We still need a chairman for the varsity games.  It was suggested that we assign parents to the slots and then it is up to them to find a substitute or switch if they are unavailable for their time slot.  It was suggested that we have a training session for concessions.  It was suggested we have instructions on opening and closing.  We need to have consistency in a person assigned to this committee.

Parents of C team and JV team need to sign the form being passed around whether they are willing or not to give up bus service to the games.  If we give up bus service for the games the District will pay for the bus for our Kenai/Soldotna trip.  If any one family is not in agreement then the boys have to take the bus to the games.
